Ku Klux Klan

The Ku Klux Klan of widely known as the KKK was first seen in the the southern state of Tennessee in the 1860's. The KKK were extreme anti-communist. Also known as hate group adorned in white robes to carry of white supremacy by any means necessary. They first targeted the African Americans performing all kinds of hate crimes such a lynchings, whippings, and just engraving terror among African American communities.Their hatred grew leaving out Jews and homosexuals in fact anyone who was White Anglo-Saxon Protestant or WASP. In the 1920's the KKK membership had peaked. Members of the Klan were in senate, supreme court, and house positions. The people fought back and many of their member turned on the them. A famous downfall for them being "The Black Box" where information was held about their illegal bribes and political scandals. In the 1930 membership dropped and by the 1940 the group faded significantly; however, chapters of the group still thrive today.
